Black Hills Central Railroad 1880's Train

I've never been to the Black Hills Central Railroad 1880 train.

This rail line runs in the center of South Dakota near Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse memorial. The scenery is breathtaking and the train ride takes you back in time. Some passengers go all out, donning period costumes for the ride. The trip takes two hours and there are group and family packages available. The railroad even has its own chaplain if you want to have your wedding ceremony on board!

luxury homes

I've never lived in a luxury home before.

Though I have to confess I have dreamed of it. A neighboring subdivision was built several years ago featuring what I would consider to be luxury homes. We went and took a tour through a couple of those open houses. It was a pleasant way to spend the day looking at how others live and dreaming of an elegant new home. Of course, if I had a home that big, I would have to hire someone to come and clean it for me!

VIEKE

I've never been to VIEKE.

This new website is filled with tons of useful information for students and parents. Visual Interface for Education and Knowledge Exchange (VIEKE) is brimming over with information like news updates from all over the world. You can even find out about exam and admission alerts. There is a really great "vooks" section. Here you can access virtual books for anything you might need to know-from architecture to zoology and everything in between. You can get answers to questions and career guidance in the guidance section. There is a forum for students to pose questions and post their opinions. VIEKE is proud to reach for its goal of providing free information resources for parents and students, in an easy to read and understand format. The site is child safe and free from adult content.

EasyToBook

I've never been to EasyToBook.

Right now with so many people traveling, it is a good time to look into the best deals you can get. With EasyToBook, you can find what you are looking for in one place. Simply choose a destination, fill in the departure and arrive dates, and begin searching for the best deals.

Whether you are needing Amsterdam hotels , places to stay in Barcelona, or lodging in Rome, EasyToBook has it all right at your fingertips. I love being able to see the 360 degree view of the rooms, like the Hotel Luxer Amsterdam . This view helps to give an idea of just what to expect upon arrival at the selected hotel.

food for the homeless

I've never been to distribute food directly to the homeless.

This past weekend several of the teenagers from our church got just such a chance. They went into downtown and made 500 sack lunches. When they finished they loaded a bus and went to some known gathering places of the "outdoorsmen". These are the folks we normally call homeless. They distributed the lunches, some blankets, and spent time talking and praying with these people. One of the teens even gave his shoes to one of the men. Many of the teens chose to give up their own lunches as well so they could make one last stop to some more people who needed it more than they did. I think the impact was great on the kids who participated. As for the ones who did not, I think they have heard lots of good stuff about this activity. They are already asking when there will be another chance to do this again.

Arctic Garden

I've never been to an Arctic Garden.

But my kids are growing some right now. These small salt crystal "gardens" are really taking off! They were fun and simple to make from household ingredients. We mixed together water, laundry bluing, ammonia and salt. We poured this mixture over charcoal. The crystals started forming right away. After five days, here is what they look like:
