I had never been to Wimberley, TX before.
But I just got back from a long weekend there. The town (village) is small and far enough away to bring that feeling of peace and quiet. There is not a whole lot to do here outside of shopping. The town center is filled with a collection of eclectic shops, something for everyone. My husband's favorite was the candy store, mine, the stained glass window shop. There is a Pioneer Town, a cowboy museum, a zip line and the swimming hole and river. There is also a very interesting glass blowing demonstration. Many places are closed on Mondays since their busy times are weekends. But if you want peace and quiet away from it all, Wimberley is a great little place to find it.
That I'd like to see.

Wimberley Glass Works
I've never been to Wimberley Glass Works.
At this unique store, you can view the original work of a modern day glass blower. Experience the unique and rare craftsmanship of the glass blower. You can see demonstrations here every day but Tuesday. You will see a variety of materials being used to create color and charm-even pure silver and 23 karat gold. After the demonstration, stroll next door to the gallery to purchase one of the unique glass pieces.
