Hogmanay in Scotland

I have never been to Scotland or seen the festivities surrounding Hogmanay.

Rolling countrysides covered in snow, the Loch Ness monster, or the giant fireballs being carried above men's heads toward the sea. Seeing these balls of fire hurled into the ocean surely must be a sight to behold.

That I'd like to see.

Largest Christmas Tree

I've never seen the world's largest Christmas tree.

There is one in Ontario Canada standing 23 meters high. It is decorated with 13,000 lights. The tree is said to be standing in honor of the Canadian soldiers fighting in Afghanistan.

There is another tree in Beijing, China, said to be standing 30 meters tall.

That I'd like to see.

Limestone Bridge, Sinkholes and an Underwater Petrified Forest

I've never been to Lake Huron or the Michigan Land Bridge. Apparantly scientists are now studying a discovery made in Lake Huron. There seems to be a limestone bridge spanning 125 miles, as well as an underwater petrified forest. The scientist's are dating the forest and trying to see how the land fit together thousands of years ago. The land then was apparantly filled with sinkholes.

A limestone bridge, sinkholes and an underwater petrified forest.

That I'd like to see.

Fifty Travel Sites I've Never Heard Of!

I've never been to these websites.

They claim that you probably haven't even heard about these travel websites. They list 50 travel sites, many with unique topics. You can learn about car games for kids, you can find someone to share a cab with, you can get the scoop on airlines, including meals and seats!

Some that really catch my attention include taking a virtual tour of world destinations, unique hotels around the world, or one guy's trip, in which he took advantage of others hospitality in order to stay the night for free!

That I'd like to see!

The Great Wall of China

I have never been to the Great Wall of China.

I cannot imagine a huge wall located in the hills, basically forming the border between China and Mongolia. I cannot imagine a wall actually keeping people out of a country. I cannot imagine a wall spanning almost 4,000 miles! Apparantly, this man-made structure is even visible from the moon!

That I'd like to see.

Niagra Falls

I have never been to Niagra Falls.

A huge hole in the ground with endless amounts of water continously pouring into it. It seems amazing that no one has ever turned the faucet off! I cannot imagine the power and sound of this continous water fall. Neither can I imagine a tight rope walker walking over the falls, nor someone going over it in a barrell. I have heard of these things in the past. To witness the amazing power and beauty of the falls is enough for me.

That I'd like to see.
