Museum of Hoaxes

I've never been to the Museum of Hoaxes .

This museum is full of the greatest hoaxes of all time. Included are the spaghetti hoax, the nylon stocking/TV hoax, and make believe Mets pitcher Sidd Finch. There is some pretty funny stuff to see here.

This museum exists only online, though you can see beautiful photos of their non-existent location in San Diego.

As April first rolls around, nothing new has been added to the annuual list of the 100 best April Fool's hoaxes . You gotta be pretty good to get on the list, according to Alex Boese, curator.

Romance on the Web

I've never been to a romance website before.

This summer my husband and I will celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary. In trying to find something new, exciting, and romantic to do to celebrate our milestone, I thought it wouldn't hurt to give one a look.

eHarmony is more than just a dating site, it is a site about relationship and romance. Available on this site are several romance articles filled with ideas on how you can spark the romance in your special relationship. This is not about sleazy Hollywood ideas, but simple, loving, meaningful thoughts that will show your partner his/her significance in your life. I especially like the ones about dating your wife and the I Love game. These are small, simple, yet meaningful ways to rekindle the intimacy and romance that sometimes get crowded out by our busy day-to-day relationship that we often get stuck in.

Even after many years there is still room for reigniting a little romance.

Miami

I've never been to Miami.

Of course, I'd have to hit the beach and soak up the sunshine. I think that is probably the number one thing for tourists to Miami to do. But there is more to Miami than that.

After you hit Miami Beach, you might want to take in the art scene around Miami. There are also lots of world class shopping to get done. You can take in a sporting event or other family friendly attractions.

Built from local quarried coral limestone, Coral Gables is a unique area to visit. The quarry itself was turned into a Venetian swimming pool. This one of a kind pool boasts waterfalls and romantic stone bridges.

Poker Game

I've never been to a poker game.

My son plays poker with his friends from time to time. Of course, being teens, this is friendly poker, no betting, other than with chips, no money trades hands. They have really found this to be a fun past time. One of his buddies went and bought a poker set for them to all use when they are together. He gave another one a similar set for a birthday gift.

But if they want to do their games up right, they should check out this Poker Table assortment. There are many tables to choose from including wooden tables and chairs, upholstered tables, and even folding table tops. They can even get more cards and chip sets here.

All orders over $100 are eligible for free shipping.

There are three kid's areas, a man made beach and a hot tub. The 70,000 square foot area boasts a retractable roof, allowing you to play in the Texas sun or play indoors in heated water.

I've never been to the Museum of Funeral History .

This unique tribute to mortuary is located in a Houston neighborhood. It is set in what might have been an industrial park. The exhibits are located in a hangar sized room. The rest of the builiding houses "Undertakers University".

The displays are eye catching novelties of the funeral world. Here you can find a Japanese hears, a 1916 hearse bus, or a prop from Cyrano de Bergerac. There is a tribute to Lincoln, Kennedy and King Tut.

You can even buy souviners before leaving. Perhaps you could use a coffin shaped putter, or a coffin charmed necklace, or better yet, a chocolate casket candy bar.

In the series we are exposed to a hilarious explanation and comparison by Jean-Claude of how to succeed at everything from playing backgammon to chopping onions, to fulfilling ones dreams and make important life choices. In the opening clip we, find Jean-Claude, a tiger, humoristic, mafia type, dressed in 70's clothes (bell-bottoms and cream-colored shoes, a button-up shirt with a dice print and a large dollar sign chain around his neck) sitting in his trailer in the used junk car lot he manages. No, he doesn't feel pathetic or sad amidst the junk, on the contrary. He is full of street smarts obtained during his many years in the University of Life. BackgammonMasters has maintained a high profile in the news lately not only because of Jean-Claude, they also recently launched a 3-in-1 game lobby offering games such as Backgammon, Poker and Perudo (Liar's Dice), all in one download. To get a sneak peak at the animations go to: http://www.backgammonmasters.com/jc.html To download the BackgammonMasters 3-in-1 free software go to: www.backgammonmasters.com Report by Gammonish.com - online backgammon resource for news and information. So, I had to go check out this sly cat's newest video. I had to see just what backgammon master playing tiger had for advice from the University of Life.

Turns out, it is a pretty slick video. It isn't long but I think everyone will get a real kick out of this new gig. Jean-Claude is pretty cool about it all. He will tell you just what it is he is thinking and just how easy it can be to get where you want to go.

So even if you don't yet play backgammon, you gotta give this video a look! This is one backgammon playing tiger.

Mount Chimborazo

I've never been to Mount Chimborazo .

This mountain located in Ecuador can technically boast the highest point in the world. Yes, Mount Everest is really taught to be the highest, and is when measured from sea level. But Mount Chimborazo can actually beat Mount Everest by about a mile and a half. This added height can be attributed to the bulge of the equator, making Mount Chimborazo technically the highest point on earth!

Advanced Mold Diagnostics

I've never been to Advanced Mold Diagnostics.

They are the most unique mold detecting agency I've ever heard of! This New Jersey Mold Removal agency uses the most unique approach I've ever heard of. When my great grandmother died, we thought about possibly buying her house. The house is in Trenton, NJ. If we had decided to buy that house, I would have had to call Advanced Mold Diagnostics to check it out.

This company uses mold sniffing dogs to detect mold in homes. This is non-destructive and very effective. These dogs are trained in ways similar to drug and bomb sniffing dogs.

Galveston Homeschool Performing Arts Co-op

I've never been to the Galveston Homeschool Performing Arts Co-op .

They started in 2003 and have grown since then. This year they will expand the music program to include dance and theater arts. All classes take place on Thursday in Galveston at the Moody United Methodist Church. The classes consist of music theory, instrument classes, three levels of band, and choir. The afternoon classes will focus on dance exposure and drama.

There are many people who help run the program. Parents are required to help the co-op to run, whether or not they have musical/dance/theater experience. There are other duties than teaching these classes. Along with parents, there are experienced volunteers as well as paid professionals who teach the classes.

There is a tuition for these classes of $100 per family as well as a few other small fees. Donations of instruments are also greatly appreciated.

The next concert will be Friday May 18, 2007 at 7 pm.

Hershey, PA

I've never been to Hershey, PA.

I would love to take a tour of the chocolate factory. An acquaintance of my son moved to Hershey. He says the air smells of chocolate all the time. The park has ten roller coasters and several water rides. I don't know if I could stand to do anything besides eat chocolate, what with the smell in the air and all.

You can eat at the food court, which also offers great desserts. Or maybe you'd like some coffee and fresh baked goodies. All these are available at the bake shoppe.

Be sure to catch Hershey's 3D interactive movie. It is a combination chocolate experience and factory tour.

Of course there are other attractions in Hershey. There is dining and golf. Sports, concets and other year round events. This being Hershey's 100th year will surely bring about special events in the area.

But for true chocolate indulgence, you need to make an appointment for the chocolate spa. Here every sense of your body will revel in everything chocolate, from chocolate cocoa bath to chocolate polish, from a chocolate fondue wrap to a cocoa massage.

A couple of years ago, we wrecked our truck. While it was in the shop a friend of ours, who was out of the country for a couple of months, let us drive his Avalanche. We all loved it. It rode nice and smooth. It was a nice, quiet ride. And it was still roomy enough for the family.

There are many cars listed on this site. It just might be the place to get our next car!

Iwo Jima

I've never been to Iwo Jima.

The site of an historic battle between American and Japanese forces. A small piece of land sitting atop the ocean. It is only about 5 miles by 2 miles. It is composed of black volcanic ash. At the time of WWII, the Japanese forces had even built an underground cave system to allow them to shelter stay alive while fighting the onslaught of American forces arriving on the island.

Not many people are allowed on the island these days; hardly any tourists. Some associated with the military may be allowed. Those who were associated with the six Marines who raised the flag in that moment now immortalized forever, in both photos and monuments, may be allowed a visit to the island. I cannot imagine what our men went through during that hellacious battle. I can only imagine the courage it took to raise that flag that day.

PayPerPost Takes Me To the Bank

I've never been to the bank with PayPerPost.

But after this month, that is all about to change! Who knew that making money with blog marketing could be so easy?!

I began my little blogging experiement around four months ago. I had heard that there were advertisers who were willing to pay bloggers to write ads for their products and services and put these ads in their own blogs. I thought that sounded easy and something I'd like to try. So I began consistently keeping my blogs.

I signed up with one blog ad company that would take my blogs while they were still fairly new. I did not get many offers from them, but took the ones I could get. After a while, the offers got a little more often.

Then, when my blogs got to be three months old, with twenty posts, they were ready for PayPerPost! This was what I'd been waiting for! With PayPerPost you can register one blog at a time. You can then go to the open opportunities and choose the offers that fit with your blog. There are many offers available. Although small, new blogs do not qualify for all of them, it is a great place to make a few bucks off a blog.

I have written ads for everything from credit cards to skateboard decks and DJ services. It is not hard to do. Some things I have had to learn about, but it is fairly simple and straight-forward to do so. If a post is rejected, PayPerPost sends an email telling what needs to be done to fix it, so you have a second chance to fix any mistakes that need to be changed.

So far, after almost a month, I have a total of $115.32 that will be transferred to my account from PayPerPost. That may not be a lot of money, but to me it seems like a great deal! And all for a few hours of typing in my blog-something I was going to do anyway! That $115.32 is growing each day, and I can't wait til it is transferred into my account. Right now, I think I'll leave it in there. Maybe it will be the start of a "nest egg" for our next trip to Disney!
