Galveston Island State Park

I've never been to Galveston Island State Park.

It is just a short drive for me, yet I've never been. It is a state park providing camping and picnic area. You can actually camp out right there on the beach. You can even find nature study, hiking, cycling, and of course fishing and playing in the surf (no lifeguards). And in the Galveston area there are many attractions to take in while you camp right at the beach front.

bid4prizes

I've never been to an auction.

I've certainly never been to a reverse auction.

There is now an online auction site that is run under this premise. The winner of the auction is the bidder with the lowest unique bid. Yes, the lowest bid. The catch being the lowest unique bid. What this means is that it is the only bid of that price.

There are lots of great prizes up for auction at bid4prizes. You can find things like iPhones, TVs, designer handbags, even a new car. It is simple to play. You can play by texting from your cell phone. This requires signing up for $9.99 per month. This allows for unlimited bidding. If you don't want to use your cell phone, you can play on line for no fee. You could stand to win some great prizes at a fraction of the original cost.

If I were to play, I don't know just what I'd try to win. I may just opt to try to win the $10,000 sweepstakes prize money. Then I could take that trip around the world!

Greek Festival

I've never been to a Greek Festival.

Next weekend, there is one in our area. It will be filled with lots of usual Greek foods, including pastries (baklava), salads, gyros and spanapkopita. There will be a Greek angora (the word for market), a children's carnival, a gift shop, a jewelry shop, a coffee shop, a pastry shop....there will be traditional music and dancing. There will be teen and children's dance troups. There is even information about the Greek Orthodox Church.

Lake Livingston State Park

I've never been to Lake Livingston State Park.

My husband bought a state park pass this year, so we have been wanting to use it. We decided to take the kids camping this weekend. One of our choices was Lake Livingston State Park, but there was no shelter availability.

This park offers camping, including tent sites, RV sites, screened shelters and a group pavilion. There is also a day use area and a swimming pool. My daughter really wanted to go to this park, as there is an on site equestrian center. You can rent a horse for an hour long ride. There are also meal rides. You can choose either a breakfast, lunch, or dinner ride. Or you can opt for just the ride with no meal. There is also boating, fishing, hiking and biking trails. Maybe one day soon we will make it there.

Just Accountants

I've never been to look for an accountant.

For many years, my granny did all of our accounting and tax filing for us. This was pretty important, as my husband is a minister and the tax filing for him can be a little weird at times. When she became unable to do it, we found a friend at church who is willing and able to sort through all of that for us. But most people are not so lucky.

For these folks, a site like justaccountants will help them to Find Accountants. This can be a real trick, especially for those with unusual circumstances, such as the self-employed or large corporations. Luckily, help can be found in one place.

If you are looking for bookkeeping services or for accounting services, you can get loads of helpful information. You simply fill out the form, and you will get quotes from four different accountants. Then you can find the one that seems best suited to work with you.

It's fast, easy and affordable.

Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation

I've never been to the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation.

I have always wanted to visit. When I was a kid, there were commercials for the reservation. I always wanted to see the indian reservation. Now, I want to take my kids. We drove past the reservation this weekend, in Livingston, TX. but did not stop. I commented how it must not really be for tourists anymore. I do not know if that is accurate.

There is now a campground available, called Camp Tombigbee. There is camping from primitave to RV sites available. There are also cabins and teepee camping available. You can find your usual camping amenities such as swimming, boating and fishing. There are also hiking and nature trails.

On June 1 & 2 is the 39th annual powwow. I believe this is open to the public.

Buying a Home in the UK

I've never been to the UK.

There is so much to see and do there. So much history, so much art, so much shopping...

But if I one day decide to move to the UK, without ever having been there, it could be a little mind blowing. I know nothing of the economy there, nothing of the housing market or the interest rates, or anything! But I do know how I could find all this information in a one stop location.

Mortgages can be tricky to deal with, even if you are in a familiar place. But when looking to buy a home in a country in which I've never been, well, I could be in for some real surprises.

Luckily, 1mortgagesUK has lots of answers, right at my fingertips. Here I can find all the answers to my questions about the housing market, home mortgage rates in the UK, flexible mortgages , info for first time buyers and so much more.

BlogSire

I've never been to visit my friend BlogSire .

At least not in real life. I have visited his website numerous times. He has a really nice set up too. His layout is very eye catching-love the colors. But mostly, he has got some great ideas for boosting your blog. He often shares what he has learned about making money with his blog. He seems to be doing pretty well, so I try to take advice from him in this area. What I really appreciate is how he not only is boosting his blog, but he is out helping others to boost theirs as well. One of the best ways of doing this is to exchange links. So I am hoping to learn from him, making my blog a better place.

Credit Card Search Engine

I've never been to a credit card search engine site before.

This could very well be a great place to find a credit card. If you are looking for the right card to suit your needs, an Online Credit Card search is a great place to begin. It's simple to do. All you have to do is search and find credit cards, then you can begin the comparison shopping so important to finding the right card to fit your need.

It is really a good idea to compare the credit cards, and the ease of doing it online makes this step even easier. Now there is no excuse to getting a credit card that won't work for you.

There are many categories you can search when looking for credit cards. You will find cards that have low interest as well as ones that offer balance transfers. Now days you can find many reward cards as well. Many offer cash back, airline miles, even sports rewards. You can find credit cards designed especially for students or business owners.

If you have good credit, this search engine can help you find just the right card. If you have bad credit, this site will be a great place to start your search for the right credit card. No matter your credit needs, you can do all your homework here.

Atlanta

I've never been to Atlanta.

From museums to sports, there is much to see, all with southern style charm. Right now, you can visit the Louvre's collection at the High Museum of Art. At the Atlanta History Center, you can view Dr. King's personal papers. Of course there is always shopping to do. You can find warehouse shopping built up around the Old Atlantic Steel Mill. Or if you prefer, you can shop Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. Of course you could take in an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Now you can even watch arena football and soon they are hoping to bring a WNBA team to town.

Wilderness Program for Teens

I've never been to a wilderness program for teens.

For the last several years, my husband has taken a group of teens from church on a wilderness trip. This type of trip has many advantages for teens. However, there are some teens who really need an experience like this who may not have had the chance for this type of trip.

Now, many wilderness programs are being offered for troubled teens. There are Wilderness Programs Formats and Types offered worldwide. You can find learning and adventure expeditions, spiritaully focused expeditions, residential camps and troubled teen rehab wilderness adventures. These expeditions all have a different focus, helping to reach the teens where they are.

Drug Treatment Facilities

I've never been to a drug treatment facility.

If a loved one or friend ever needed such a facility, it would be an arduous task to find the right one to fit the individual and his/her needs. Finding a treatment center to fit the individual seems to be an integral part of being able to overcome the addictions that person may be involved with.

Once you decide to use a drug treatment program for yourself of a loved one, one of the toughest decisions has already been made. But the next step can prove a bit confusing. Looking for just the right program can begin with many questions. It is important to know what each particular facility has to offer before beginning any treatment with them.

Using a hotline, which can aid you in answering your tough questions as well as help you pinpoint your individual needs, could be a beneficial step. Such help lines can help to sort through all the confusion and aid in finding the help that is right for you and your loved one.

Marathon

I've never been in a marathon.

My husband has been through Marathon Training, but got hurt right before the actual run, so was unable to participate. My husband, my son, and I have all participated at one time or another in mini-triathlons and various fun runs. These are very fun and not too difficult for the amateur athlete to complete. But in my mind, running 26.2 miles consecutively would be a feat indeed.

There is a website that helps to dispel the myth that every day runners cannot complete a marathon. This runner's website is dedicated to all things runner's need to know. You can find everything you need to know about training for a marathon, the conditioning and training schedule, to essential gear and marathon recovery. You can find information on the proper diet to fuel your body. You can find a guide for finding proper running shoes. There is even a breathing guide, a weight lifting guide, a stretching guide and a treadmill guide.

Here you can join a runner's forum, read a runner's blog, and sign up for the newsletter. There is a sample training schedule for preparing for a marathon in 16 weeks.

A Trip Around the World

I've never been on a trip around the world.

That is one dream I have had for a while. I have traveled as far as Singapore, which is almost directly on the other side of the world from my home. I have thought that on one trip to the East, I want to make it a trip around the world. I mean why not? If I am going all the way to the other side, why not come back home from the other direction? It would be the greatest trip I’ve ever had.

Of course finding places to stay could be a real problem, since I would not have a place to stay everywhere I travel. But if I stayed one step ahead, I could just log onto the Internet before I was ready to depart for my next destination. In this manner, using a site like hotelreservations.com , I could find places to stay anywhere in the world! When I was ready to move on to a new destination I could simply log on, look up available bookings, book a hotel , a motel or even find a world class resort in which to stay. I can look up air fare, I can even book a car if I so desire.

This place has available bookings for any place in the world. They have destination guides, ideas for road trips, even cruises. I could really see the world! And I could find the perfect place to stay, simply by using this one website . This could be my home base, a place to find my next home away from home. And this site is really out to offer the best deals, helping customers save money on the next step of their journey.

I can compare the luxury hotels and the budget hotels to decide which is the right choice for me. Eurobookings.com is the place to book a stay, whether going for holiday or business travel. With Eurobookings.com I won't have to pay any reservation fee or pay any advance payment of any kind. I only pay for my hotel at check out. If I don't find the service or amenities I want, this will allow me to barter a rate fitting to the stay I had.

Radio Surgery

I've never been to a radiosurgery.

Before today, I'd never even heard of it! But now, there is new treatment for victims of brain tumors. It is really amazing! This new surgery, known as gamma knife, is non-invasive. That means they don't even have to cut into the brain to remove the tumor! The only real experience I've had with anyone with a brain tumor is in the story Death Be Not Proud. The family in this story tried everything to help rid their son of his tumor. They tried "traditional" treatments, diet changes, even mustard gas! But nothing could compare to the advancements of today. The gamma knife surgery is a true blessing to those who need it.

I am thinking of going sometime this year though. I've been told the exhibits are very well done and if my daughter starts to get a little unnerved, she can move down a little way and not have to look at everything.

Along with the permanant exhibit, right now there are exhibits on Shanghai and the refuge it offered during the war, the Texas Holocaust registry and the butterfly project, focusing on the children of this terrible time period.

Meet the Robinsons

I've never been to see Meet the Robinsons.

My daughter went with my father earlier this week. They thought that even though it is a corny kids show, it did teach a good lesson. The lessons they felt were strongest were that you have to live with your choices and the consequences that go along with those choices. In fact, my dad recommended that our youth group go to see the movie. They just got back from a camp that taught this same lesson. If kids can see these ideas reiterated, it will go a long way in helping them in their lives. And if popular media entertainment can help do that....

Debt Consolidation News

I've never been to Debt Consolidation News before.

But today I popped in to see just what kind of advice they have to offer. What I found was information about a great deal more than just debt consolidation. The feature article today gave 12 reasons why owning a home is for suckers. What? Isn't this what we all grow up waiting for? Owning our own home? The author has some really good points to think about before buying a home, many with which I agree, and a few to which I would have to make exception. But overall, I like the author's approach and straightforwardness in getting the reader to think about what all owning a home will entail. Some tips are offered to see if you are really ready to buy a home.

There are many other articles which sound just as interesting to read. I bookmarked the site so I can go back and learn tips about saving money, establishing financial security, and ways to avoid tricks lenders use.

On the weekend of April 20-21 you can attend the cotton gin festival. There will be antique machinery, musical entertainment, parades, arts and crafts, food and children's activities. You can buy advanced admission or pay at the gate. Admission on Sunday is free.

Emory

I've never been to Emory.

I have some friends who attended school there and did some teaching there, but I have never seen the campus. I know many people who are getting ready to send their kids to college in just a few months. None that I know of are going to Emory, but if it is an option they would like to pursue, there is a great bed and breakfast nearby. This could be an ideal place to stay. It is right across the street from the university's academic and medical community. It is fifteen miles from the airport. It would be quieter than a hotel, offering you the amenities more like home. You could possibly get a better night's sleep and a nice breakfast, all helping you to be more at ease for college interviews. They even offer evening tea, coffee and fresh baked cookies. You can view the inn's newly renovated rooms by the pictures on the website. Each room has a microwave and fridge, and high speed wireless internet.

If you are looking for any hotel, motel, or bed and breakfast, Hotel Reservations can really help you find exactly what you are looking for; exactly what will meet your needs. I have used this particular site a couple of times and have been pleased with the pricing and service offered by this online company. You will have many options when looking for a place to stay out of town, whether you are a looking for a college, traveling for business or pleasure, check out the many hotels, resorts and vacation rentals they offer. They even provide money saving rates on lodging world wide.

Mayan Ruins

I've never been to the Mayan Ruins.

They are thousands of years old. Apparently the Mayans were of Asian ancestry, crossing over when the Bering Strait was still connected to North America. It has been said that the ruins were original before the time of Christ.

The layout of the ruins is astrologically correct. They predicted the summer solstice on June 21. There is even an opening in the wall for the light to beam through on that day. The Mayans were very accurate with their calendars. They knew the world was round.

The ruins are located atop a cliff which drops down into a beautiful turquoise ocean. These waters are thought to be holy to some and many trek here to bathe in the water.
