Titanic Dining Experienc

I've never been to the Titanic Dining Experience.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, Houston restaurant Cullen's is offering the Titanic Dining Experience. Those wanting to sample the likes of a meal on the Titanic will eat at Macy's Table suspended from the dining room ceiling. The meal consists of ten courses including wine, beef appetizer and after dinner cheese. The whole thing lasts four hours and culminates in sampling a brandy from 1900. The whole meal is open to twelve people. The cost? $12,000.

debt counseling

I've never been to debt counseling before.

It seems that every where I go I hear someone talking about debt free solutions. This is an important topic in today's economy as seemingly everyone has been hit hard. Debt counseling can take several different forms including workshops and seminars to independent counselors to finding information on one's own. I think that an important aspect of any kind of debt counseling and an ultimately imperative part of any debt free solution is self control.

spa girl tri

I've never been to Spa Girl Tri.

This inaugural triathlon is taking place at the Marriott resort in San Antonio, TX May 12. The race will begin with a slide down into the lazy river, with the jets turned off. This is where the swim will take place! The rest of the tri takes place in the scenic area of the hill country. There are discounted room rates for triathletes. The tri is a sprint distance and is open to individuals and 2 person relay teams. A time for fun, competition and pampering!

motorcycle trips

I've never been on a motorcycle trip without a windshield on the bike.

For the last several years, my husband and I have taken a trip on his bike for our anniversary. He says taking the car is like watching TV. But taking the bike is like being ON TV. I can handle a trip on the back of the bike a few hours away, and he is good about stopping every couple of hours for a break. But there are a few things I do think are very important for motorcycle road trips: nice seats, a back rest, helmets, and motorcycle windshields. My husband has mentioned me getting my own bike. I told him only if he rode on the back of it!

Five Guys

I had never been to Five Guys before.

It is a small hamburger place. It' pretty good. The burgers cost $5. They are pretty small but it is a double patty burger. The fries are a large order; my daughter and I shared the regular size and still had a good many that we could not finish. You can choose from different toppings for your burger, though I do wish they offered avocados as a topping!

Nunsense Country Jamboree

I had never been to Nunsense Country Jamboree before.

Tonight we got to see some old acquaintances reprise their roles from Nunsense and Nunsense II. While not a big fan of country music I do enjoy good presentations. This cast did a good job, especially in the energy level. With all the singing and dancing I am guessing that cast needs no help from any slimvox diet pills! Their energy was great, particularly two of them, and they kept that energy up to the very end! If I only had energy like that to last a whole day....

river cruise

I've never been on a river cruise.

In trying to come up with ideas on how to spend our 25th anniversary, we have thrown around a lot of ideas. Of course a cruise is the one that comes up most often. A twist on this idea is to take a river cruise. While there are quite a few options for river cruises, the ones I would be most interested in would be a river cruise on the Mississippi, or even better, on the Nile.

outdoor pool

I've never been to outdoor pool contractors.

Years ago we (I) casually thought about putting in an outdoor pool. My husband has always been against it. Early on in our marriage he cleaned the pool for an apartment complex and said he would not do that again, even for our own pool. And of course when you have your own backyard pool you have to be really careful with kids-your own and the neighborhood kids as well. We were told how important it is to keep the pool gate closed as it could even lead to a law suit if a kid wandered in an open gate and got hurt. So instead over the years we have enjoyed the convenience of the subdivision's pool without all the work and worry.
