community garden

I've never been to a community garden.

I think there is one around here, though I don't know who it is for. It is located inside a park but it is usually locked up. I had never seen anyone there nor even any gardening tools around. But produce was growing so I knew someone tended to it. Last week when I took my nephews to the park, we saw folks out working in this garden! While I still don't know who is in charge of the garden, who works in it or who benefits from it, I was happy to see people working in it. Maybe one day we will be to find out the details of this community garden.
