Savannah

I've never been to Savannah.

This city is apparently rich in Southern history. From the Revolutionary War to Civil War to the home of the founder of the Girl Scouts, Savannah has much history to offer tourists. Some friends of mine just got back from a lovely weekend in Savannah. These girls donned their travelin' shoes to see the many sites of the city. From Mrs. Wilkes house for lunch to the colonial cemetery, from Forsyth Fountain and the Pulaski monument, from the draw of the Atlantic ocean, Spanish moss dripping from trees and folks with a Southern drawl, Savannah has much to take in.

That I'd like to see.

Savannah City Tour

I've never been on a Savannah city tour.

There is a wide variety of tours from which to choose. I think I would love to go on the Civil War tour. The Civil War is a fascinating era in American History. To be able to see some of the actual places where brother fought brother would really bring it to life. This walking tour has been a favorite for ten years. This tour is nearly two hours in duration and will depart in light rain. Costs are $13 for adults, $7 for children ages 6-14 with kids five and under being free.
