Today we read about how Michelangelo spent four years laying on his back with paint dripping into his face to complete the entire 10,000 square foot area. The paintings are still absolutely amazing to look at. You can see that Michelangelo was indeed working very hard to render a perfect painting of the human body; his attention to detail is astounding. We read how he became obsessed with doing this job and even locked his help out out complete it alone. The painting of The Last Judgment took four years to restore-the same amount of time it took to paint the whole ceiling!
That I'd like to see.
