Perfumery

I've never been to a perfumery.

Third generation perfumer Celine Ellena shares her experience as a female perfumer. (This industry is usually dominated by men.)She began learning from her grandfather who told her to smell the flowers in the garden. She says she learned much from her grandfather, who died without knowing that Celine wanted to become a perfumer. Although she has been creating scents for 14 years, she says that young perfumers today must take chemistry. She has a degree in psychology and says it is very helpful, since perfume has such a deep seated meaning for each of us, it is very sensual, very personal. She sees fragrance as something mysterious, a way to send a mysterious message. She says from the beginning it was a way to talk with God.

That I'd like to see.
