It is a small island close to Tasmania. Right now it is being considered as a new home for the Tasmanian Devil. The devils have been scourged by a plague of cancer which is threatening their existance on Tasmania. Experts are hoping that moving non-infected devils to a nearby island like Maria will help to save the species. Others fear the devils will endanger other species thriving now on the island. No other short to medium term option seems to be open to experts who want to save the devils.
That I'd like to see.
