Ratatouille

I'd never been to see Ratatouille before today.

It was a pretty cute show about a French rat who becomes a chef. It is a computer animated family friendly movie. The theater this morning was filled with families, most with young kids.

I like getting to see a show without all the crude and vulgar things Hollywood deems as entertainment these days. This show was pretty nearly void of all that. There were a couple of places where even the computer animated hordes of rats freaked me out, but over all, a nice show for the family to see together.

Krillion

I'd never been to Krillion before today.

This past March, we purchased a new washer and dryer. It is such a huge purchase, that we did much of the research online before ever heading to the store and making the final purchase. It is so easy to search for products on line rather than driving all over town comparing products and prices. Now, Krillion makes this even easier. If you are looking to compare Maytag and Kenmore Dryers and Washers, Krillion makes your job easy.

Krillion is a unique localization search engine that allows you to search local retailers before purchasing large items like appliances. Krillion gathers the specific local information as well as specific product information. You can now spend your time quietly searching for what will meet your needs without pushy or incompetent sales people. Then when you are ready, you can go to the specific retailer in your area, ready to make the purchase.

Grahams Random Ramblings

I'd never been to Grahams Random Ramblings before today.

In the Seven Random Things meme that has been going on in blog land, I found a link to his post. In this post there are some pretty interesting random things that Graham has been up to in his travels. From Washington State to Bangkok, from Japan to Buenos Aires, Graham has had some pretty exciting, if random, adventures.

I've never been to Niagra Falls.

It seems like a beautiful destination. I would love to one day see it. I have not read much about how Niagra Falls came about. But today I stopped by a blog which gave me a brief but fascinating over view. If you would like to see how Niagra Falls originated , stop by and check out these great photos.

The Wealth Spa

I've never been to the Wealth Spa.

On July 11, they will be offering a seminar to learn abou the biggest mistakes businesses make with charitable giving.

When I was younger, my family would joke about being able to save the world and solve all the problems in the world. As we grow older, we see that although we may not be able to save the world, we can make some differences.

Business owners have a real potential to help aid those with needs by contributing to funds and projects that are near and dear to their hearts. However, businesses often make mistakes with their charitable donations. This seems to affect the small business owner in particular.

We all want to help our communities and our society. And we will do all we can to help. At times, this can lead to giving and giving, until there is nothing left to give. Or perhaps we end up shooting ourself in the foot by trying to give.

If you are ready to learn how to avoid the mistakes that can come with charitable giving, join the teleclass on July 11. Here you can learn how to donate money and grow your business at the same time. This seminar will help you realize the mistakes, avoid the mistakes, and come up with a strategy for financial giving.

You can Click here to learn more or join the class. There is much to learn from this teleclass. You can join using any phone or even by Skype.

Business Owners Learn How to Give to Charity & Increase Their Profits in New Teleclass

In the new teleclass, Top 10 Mistakes Small Businesses Make With Charitable Giving, a financial expert & a philanthropic expert explain how business owners can simultaneously donate money to causes important to them and grow their businesses.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2007 -- Elizabeth Potts Weinstein, CFP®, JD, a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and attorney, and Maggie F. Keenan, Ed.D., philanthropic expert, have teamed up to offer a free teleclass teaching business owners how to avoid the top ten mistakes most business owners make when creating and launching a charitable giving program.

Weinstein, owner of The Wealth Spa, and Keenan, owner of givingadvice, have found that their small business clients were missing vital information they needed to create charitable giving programs that both changed people's lives, as well as contributed to the bottom line of their business.

Keenan explains that "there are challenges business owners never imagined with just giving to local charities -- you get caught up in wanting to help them all. Your heart is in the right place, but you just don't know how to make giving a part of your business that is successful, fulfilling and makes a difference in your business and the world."

Business owners also want information about the practical side of giving. "Business owners want to give their time and money to charity, but also want to get all the tax benefits of doing so. In this program, I explain how to take tax deductions for your giving, and how to create a responsible giving budget for your business," says Weinstein.

In the teleclass, Weinstein and Keenan will teach attendees simple strategies to make giving matter where it matters most, how to avoid mistakes that drain small business owners, which donations are taxable & where to claim them on a tax return, and how much of a business's gross revenue should spent on giving.

Weinstein and Keenan are offering this information in a teleclass format. A teleclass is a class taught virtually, over a telephone bridge line. Using the teleclass format, business owners from all over the world may attend without having to leave the comfort of their own office or home.

The teleclass is offered on July 11, 2007 at 1:00 PM EST (10:00 AM PST). For additional information about the free teleclass, go directly to http://www.thewealthspa.com/giving, or contact The Wealth Spa at (800) 752-3592.

North Cascades Environmental Learning Center

I've never been to the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center.

Here is something for the whole family. It is the family camp experience with all the fun. Hiking, canoeing, exploring. See pristine mountain streams, meadows filled with wildflowers, forests, learn about Native American history.

The campus is located three hours northwest of Seattle on the north shore of Diablo Lake. Here you can view the beauty of the North Cascades mountains. Spend time learning together in the multimedia classrooms, the research library and the aquatic and terrestrial laboratories. Also experience the amphitheater, the outdoor learning shelters and trails.

The dining area features kid friendly menus along with a recycling and composting center. Family getaways are available for $195 per adult and $95 per child.

But I have to say that I really like what I saw. I'd made a virtual connection with her at her other more business oriented site , which is great in it's own right. Now, she has set up a more fun loving place to drop in. This is a new blog which looks to be a rather promising outlet for this redhead to rant a little. She says she will broach just about any subject that she sees a need to rant, uh, blog about.

Orlando Vacation Villa Rentals

I’ve never rented an Orlando Vacation Villa.

Our last trip to Orlando was in 2002. Our kids (and we) are ready to go back. We are hoping to make a family trip sometime next year. I hear that Orlando and its theme parks have changed over the last five years. With all the competition between the amusement parks, there is always some new ride or attraction to catch.

Our last trip, we stayed in a hotel. Since our kids are bigger now, we may look at Orlando vacation villa rentals for a place to stay. Bigger kids need a bigger place to stay. I would love a spacious home away from home. A pool in the backyard would mean not having to share the pool with others.

I like the convenience of checking dates and availability online. I might even find a package deal to suit our family’s needs. The rates of some of these villas are competitive with standard hotels. We would be able to rent the size home that will best suit our needs.

I love being able to get up to the minute news on all things Orlando. I can even browse articles and information to help us come up with the best vacation plan.

Horses For Kids at Risk

I had never been to Horses For Kids At Risk before this week.

Last week, we heard about a new program in our area involving horses and kids at risk.

This is a brand new idea from a couple of homeschooling moms. It is really just now getting off the ground. One of the lady's has a "farm", for lack of a better word, with all kinds of animals-horses, cow, chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats. She is starting a non-profit program where "kids at risk" can come out and experience life on a farm. They help with chores, which are listed on a daily calendar. After the chores are all done, they can saddle and tack the horses and ride.

The two moms are there to help and they are also implementing a mentor program. This is where teens will work toward being the ones who help teach the kids to ride. Right now, they are taking any kid, whether considered "at risk" or not (they feel like all kids are "at risk" in different ways.) There is no charge for the program. The kids love it, from doing chores to riding and caring for their assigned horse.

This program sounds like it will be a really good thing for those kids who are involved. One "at risk" child has already made a lot of progress in her relationship with one of the mothers who started the program. I think it will be so good, for both the kids "at risk" and those not classified this way. They will learn to help each other and contribute to keeping the place running smoothly. It takes all of them working together. In the future, this will be a real boost to our society, as it will help both sets of children to function as contributing adults.

Of Travels and Travails

I'd never been to Of Travels and Travails before.

I hopped on over to her place today to see what her travels and travails in life have been. This is a nice blog. She has brief articles on many things, including her travels, travails in life, and mostly about life being a journey that we are all on. I like the clean lines to this blog, and I love the pictures along the sidebar. I think she's got a catchy title too.

I heard about it from my blogging friend Sire . He is full of great tips and ideas for promoting your blog. He is always talking about one of the best ways being reviewing a blog and having them review you back. He has hosted a couple of these and was considering opening a web site dedicated to this. He found that there is already one in existance. Review Back is a blogging community in which you can sign up for free, submit your blogs and have others review them, while you review theirs. This will create lots of link love and help to improve both blogs!

Key West

I've never been to Key West.

I've been introduced by Sue and her daily photos .

It looks like there is lots to do in Key West. Of course, first and foremost is relaxing on the beach, viewing the sunset and watching the waves, sitting beneath a palm tree. After all the relaxing, there are art museums to visit, an historic harbor, and Captain Tony's Bar. You can visit the AIDS memorial, take a boat ride or take a plane ride over to the Tortugas. Be sure to visit Mallory Square, ride the Conch train and see the lighthouse.

Your Hometown

Maybe I've never been to your hometown.

One way to spend summer days is to enjoy the town in which you live. Maybe you think it's boring, you've seen everything there is to see there. Look at it with new eyes. Finding something new and different about one's own town can be an exciting experience!

Buying Silver

I've never been to buy silver.

Right now the market for silver exceeds annual production! This has been true for over a decade. The stockpiles of silver are quickly being depleted, approaching zero.

Monex Deposit Company provides silver and other precious metals for purchase. Silver is available in either coin or ingot form. An ingot is generally silver bullion cast in a convenient size and shape.

Your order can be personally delivered or delivered to a secured storage area, such as your bank or depository. Monex is a professional company providing thirty years of assistance in the precious metals industry. The Seychelles

I've never been to the Seychelles.

These islands lie in the Indian Ocean and are 1000 miles from any other landmass. Some of the world's most beautiful beaches can be found here. The warm seas surrounding the Seychelles offer a great place for water sports and snorkling. Island tours provide breath taking views from the mountains. Visit the Botanical Gardens to see the Aldabran tortoises. On Praslin Island you can see black parrots and other species of rare birds and plants.

Appreciative Coaching

I've never been to Appreciative Coaching before.

It seems that many of us could use a dose of appreciation these days. And getting it from our employers would be an ideal way to enhance our work environment. Recently, Sara Orem, a faculty member at Capella University, a leader in online adult education , co-authored the new book "Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process For Change".

The approach of this book helps individuals and organizations to flourish by focusing on human ideals, achievements and positive practices. Appreciative coaching uses mindful questions and tools to help strengthen individuals and to bring about positive changes. The format guides the reader through four stages-discovery, dream, design and destiny.

Readers will be inspired to appreciate themselves and their futures, and will become empowered about themselves and their future. This book is specifically written for coaches of managers, executives, and others who work one-on-one with people. The ideas in this book will help to influence and create positive change

Aruba

I've never been to Aruba.

Last summer my husband met an American family who was living in Aruba. Ever since then, we have wanted to visit this Caribbean paradise. In Aruba, enjoy year round warmth and sunshine. Here you can find white sand beaches fringed with lacy green palm trees. Explore the high, arched coral bridges or the limestone grottos. There is even a desert where the cacti grow to the size of a grown man. In Aruba, you can hear the green parakeets calling or enjoy the view of tropical fish.

When I get to Aruba, if I need to make any calls back home, I can rely on a long distance phone card from Pingo. These cards are a reliable way to make international calls. Pingo has no hidden fees and I can earn up to four free hours of international calling, just by signing up! Using Pingo's RateWatcher assures me that I will be getting the very best international calling rate possible. Pingo's Global Phone Card means great rates and PIN-less dialing. This might be the cheapest phone card around, saving mobile users as much as 90%!

Matamoros, Mexico

I've never been to Matamoros, Mexico.

Just across the border from Texas, Matamoros is a favorite day trip for U.S. citizens. At the International Bridge, you can park your car for about $4 a day. This is something many tourists opt for, avoiding the required car insurance if they bring their car across the border.

In the Main Plaza you will find a moment of tranquility within the bustling city. On one side of the plaza you can visit the city hall. On the other side you will find the cathedral. Don't miss the Benito Juarez Mercado. This is a favorite with visitors and locals alike. It is about five blocks long and you can find just about anything you want to buy here.

At Score kids can raise their confidence level as well as their academic prowess in subjects from elemenatary reading and math to high school levels in these subjects.

My son has been feeling like he is a bit behind in his math skills as compared to his peers. Their hands on approach can address any issues a child may feel in his or her level of performance, helping him/her to achieve the greatest success possible in every subject area.

Maria

I've never been to Maria (pronounced Mah-RYE-uh).

It is a small island close to Tasmania. Right now it is being considered as a new home for the Tasmanian Devil. The devils have been scourged by a plague of cancer which is threatening their existance on Tasmania. Experts are hoping that moving non-infected devils to a nearby island like Maria will help to save the species. Others fear the devils will endanger other species thriving now on the island. No other short to medium term option seems to be open to experts who want to save the devils.

Around the World in Eighty Days

I've never been around the world in eighty days.

But recently, writer Mark Schatzker was commissioned by Conde Nast Traveler to make just such a trip. The catch however was to make it in exactly 80 days, as in Jules Verne's novel. He could not take a plane or helicopter and could not travel over 100 miles per hour. The intent of this journey was slow travel-to reconnect with a way of travel that allows you to really see the sights. He cruised, rode horseback and sea kayaked.

You can see Mark's photos and read his blog online. His journey will be highlighted in the September 2007 Conde Nast Traveler magazine.

The Police

I've never been to a Police Concert.

I grew up listening to The Police mostly through my bedroom wall. My sister LOVED the Police. I grew to enjoy their music as well, though I might not have admitted that to sis at the time!

I know she would have given anything to have been able to go to a concert as a teenager. And now, I would love to be able to take her. The Police are reuniting for a World Wide Tour! The band has gotten back together and have compiled a great new police cd for all their adoring fans. And I know if their fans are like my sis, they've not outgrown their love for the sound of Sting and his compatriots.

The tour will be sure to be a rocking good time. The songs will be just a good as ever. The show will be a lively performance of the good old days gone by!

The new police cd has a great variety of all the band's best songs. There are 28 songs compiled here. A perfect CD which surely includes every Police fan's favorite song. The ones I like best are included here:"Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", "Every Breath You Take", "Spirits In the Material World", "Wrapped Around Your Finger", even "Roxanne". I still think my very favorite though is "Don't Stand So Close To Me". All of these songs will be great to listen to on the new CD, but to be able to go see them live on their World Wide Tour Concert would be the best!

Dubai

I've never been to Dubai.

Of course I've heard so much about it, and my previous jaunt over to Go Smell the Flowers blog reminded me of what a great place this would be to visit.

In Dubai you will be amazed at the skyscrapers and the mosques that reside within the small area surrounded by the Persian Gulf. But that has not daunted the leaders in Dubai. When they run out of land area, they just create artificial islands and keep constructing stunning new buildings.

You will be amazed at the Jumeirah Mosque, even from the outside. Or see the lovely beaches, or perhaps take a river taxi. Lots of shopping can get done in this city, and many malls and markets are the place to do it.

The Wild Wadi Water Park sounds like just the place to beat the heat. The water slides in this park shoot you up before you slide down. And of course, a lobby tour of the 7 star Burj Al Arab is a must.

Orlando Villa

I've never stayed in an Orlando Villa.

Many vacationers "think Florida" from the get go. Many European vacationers are of the same mind. Since the onset of the internet, finding places to stay in Florida has become eaiser for those traveling from the UK. Many travelers might arrange a package deal, not realizing the advantages of booking lodging seperately. The advantages might be surprising.

You can actually save money booking an Orlando Villa --it could cost $10 per person per night. By booking accomodations seperately, you can personalize your accomodations. Do you need handicap facilities? How about a hot tub? A Play Station for the kids? You can preview 15-20 photos of property on line as well as get a 360 degree virtual tour. You will be able to rent the actual unit you view. You can get full service information, check availability online, even book online. There is an office located in Florida. Be sure to check out the special offers.

This service is available to both Canadians and to U.S. citizens, as well as to permanant residents of the U.S. or CA.

There is no faxing, you can apply online. You don't have to wait to go through the many financing procedures as you would with other financial institutions. They have kept the application process easy.

CashX keeps you away from the hock/pawn shops. They provide advances for military people, those on a pension, those who work for fast food. You can get your loan in twenty minutes.

Many folks will spend their summer in a vacation rental on one of the islands. But these condos and villas look to outdo all others. There are resort and ocean front rentals available on Hawaii and Maui. You can find custom homes with unbelievable amenities. They boast large living areas, custom furniture and other furnishings. Even the artwork is not to be found among the finest hotels. Look out the windows to take in the amazing views. Here you will find gourmet kitchen, private pool, even an elevator. These vacation homes are bigger than my house! The condos available here are within thirty feet of the beach. You will experience unbelievable luxury.

Seattle

I've never been to Seattle, WA.

This city is a favorite among tourists. It is often called "Emerald City" for its rich, beautiful natural attractions. There is much to see here including the sports arena, the museums and theaters. Two not to miss sites include the Pike Place Market and the giant "Hammering Man" sculpture. And of course, the Space Needle. Many visitors flock to the harbor for fresh seafood and a ferry trip to Puget Sound.

Anchorage, Alaska

I've never been to Anchorage, Alaska.

This port city is Alaska's largest. It is situated between the Alaska Range and the Chugach Mountains. There is much unspoiled wilderness for tourists to enjoy here. A cycling trip or hike along a coastal trail is often a favorite for tourists. You can enjoy a city tour and a trip to the museum of art and history. Perhaps you would like to make a trip to Denali National Park to see North America's Tallest Peak--Mt. McKinley.

Dot Flowers

I'd never been to Dot Flowers before.

Flowers are almost always a perfect gift. If you want to say "hi", "I love you", "you're my friend", "get well soon", or just "I'm thinking of you", flowers are almost always the choice expression. Buying flowers online makes it that much easier to express your sentiment. You can choose from arrangements designed in your local florist shop or have field fresh flowers delivered from growers to anywhere in the U.S. If you have a need to send flowers , this is the place to go.

If you want something a little different, you can choose from any number of gift baskets, including gourmet snack items and vintage wines.

Vancouver, Canada

I've never been to Vancouver, Canada.

Apparantly the list of things to see is long. Lion's Gate Bridge, Granville Island Public Market, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Park, the Maritime Museum. Vancouver is also home to the second largest Chinatown in North America. You can visit Gastown-the town's first saloon. There is the world famous Stanley Park. And for a spectacular view, climb the Vancouver Lookout Tower.

Whittier, Alaska

I've never been to Whittier, AK.

This cruise port wilderness community was not accessible by road until the year 2000. Whittier is the gateway to Anchorage, with its route lying along Turnagain Arm, in the shadow of Chugach Range. It is home to the sweeping tidal changes. There is much wildlife to see in this area. You can see Dall Sheep, mountain goats, beluga whales and bald eagles.
