Kathmandu

I've never been to Kathmandu.

This largest city in Nepal is also its capital. It is situated in an earthquake prone valley, which actually consists of three main towns. It boasts much ancient history, such as the Buddha having spent some time here. There is much antiquity to be validated, with the earliest known inscription to be dated 185 AD. You can find the juxtopostion interesting as well with the King's Palace being situated right next to the main tourist center. You can find hotels and backpacker's hostels. You can visit the market and see Buddhist and Hindu shrines.

That I'd like to see.
