It is steeped in history. Just walking through Athens would be a lesson in classical history. The Acropolis, the Parthenon, the temples of Niki and Zues. Walk through the ancient agora where Aristotle, Socrates and Plato walked. Visit museums, including the National Museum of Athens, the Byzantine Museum, and the Benaki Museum. Of course one cannot forget the stadium, the Dionysos Theater and the Pnyx.
That I'd like to see.
